Paula Cottom is the owner and handler at Serenity Pets Marin, a licensed, bonded, and insured pet sitting and dog walking company based in the North Bay area of San Francisco.

She is a life-long animal lover, a native of Boston, Mass., and has lived in Novato for 40 years. She is a retired nurse whose primary specialty was cardiac intensive care. She worked as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic where she also assisted in providing animal care. In addition to her pet care activities, she is also active in her community. Paula is a member of the Ignacio Rotary and other groups in Marin that encourage community events and foster the goal of life-long learning. Paula and her husband Jim live in Novato and as she puts it, “Although our children are now grown and on their own, we have a second family, our pets Henry, a 7-year old Beagle, Molly, an 13-year-old Beagle, and Stella, a 6-year-old tabby Maine Coon who we rescued from the Marin Humane Society with “Cattitude.”
